We trust you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and loved ones! As the year closes, I would like to go over some of the year's significant events.
- We saw two receive Christ as their savior!
- Three followed the Lord in baptism!
- We divided up into Sunday school classes again!
- We had a great turnout for our annual camp!
- The Brewers turned over the work of the camp and the mission to our family and the church here to a Brazilian pastor, whom I am working with as I continue with language studies!
- Another missionary here has been creating Bible college-level institute materials for some time now, and we have teamed up to turn it into a user-friendly, trackable, online bible institute. There are currently 15 classes and around 400 hours of recorded content.
- Our container came and cost less than we were expecting!
- We did a complete renovation on the pastoral house here.
In these past two months, we have held a handful of neighborhood outreaches (a scaled-down version of a neighborhood bible time), trying to reach others with the gospel. Last week we were in the new park that our city recently inaugurated.
Pray with us as we continue to pass out the gospel, preach the gospel, and make connections here in our city of Itapuã. Another missionary in our state has recently created a handful of very sharp, cleanly designed gospel tracts and gave us 5,000 free of charge! We are putting these to good use.
As we look into this next year, we are excited at the prospects of what God will do here! We are praying some big prayers, one of which is to see 1,000 people trained in and through our institute. Would you pray with us to this end? Two churches have contacted us about coming to Brazil for a mission trip! Pray that God calls more missionaries! It was on one such trip that the Lord called me here!
I want to thank those who helped with a special love offering to help us get the materials to replace the 120 feet of fencing that blew over during one of our storms here. I plan to purchase everything in the next couple of weeks and hope to have it installed before our annual camp, which will be February 9-14.
As we continue to sow and water, we know the reality of Psalm 125:5-6 "They that sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."
